With the the launch of the Southern Cross website, lots of work for Empathy (including a lovely hand bound booklet) and a big move up to the fruitful Hawkes Bay, I have certainly been kept busy of late.
Now that the dust is just beginning to settle and the chooks are happily installed in their new home, i've had time for a few updates. Check them out - more to come soon!

Finally got my hands on some snaps of the project that I was working on before I left the UK - a Discovery Centre for Manchester University's centre for Astrophysics. I completed the concept and scheme design stages so it's great to see that my ideas have become reality. Pictured here is a sound cone in which you can hear what's been happening in the universe since the big bang (speeded up a little of course). Keep an eye out for more images soon.

I have just moved into a lovely new studio with these super-duper creative people: Steve, Nigel, Mark, Sam|Jo|Ray and Heidi.

I had some time on my hands last week (seems like a distant memory now!) so I created this print to celebrate moving into our little house on the hill.

Today I have been experimenting with a simple block printing technique that involves making stamps from foam sheets and wooden blocks. I have been using them to create repeat patterns for some cards to send out this week. Watch this space for the results.

My new studio is taking shape with the addition of a newly refurbished government desk. When I bought the desk it was blue and purple, complete with Peter Rabbit images pasted on top. Using a power sander and a bit of elbow grease I have managed to transform it back into a beautiful piece of furniture (with just a trace of its questionable purple past).

After four months on the road we can now call Wellington home! Exciting times, I can't wait to see what it has to offer. And if anyone is looking for a designerfreelance or permanentget in touch.
